As far as introductions go, this one's a bit overdue. The doors at Push Code HQ have been open for business since 2012, and for two years we operated without a website. Which for a business that actually builds websites is… an interesting approach.

Push Code was founded be me, Aaron Russell. You may recognise me from websites such as aaronrussell.co.uk, or on Twitter as @aaronrussell. I'm a designer and a full-stack web developer (Ruby, JavaScript and HTML/CSS).

I've been building websites one way or another since 1997 (eek!), and went out on my own as a freelance web designer and developer in 2008. Over the years, I've worked with and helped many new businesses start up online. I've become fascinated with the ideas and philosophies behind lean startups and agile web development.

This exposure to the worlds of agile and lean is really what prompted the switch from my successful freelance web design business to this new venture. Push Code is about more than just designing and building websites. We have an approach and philosophy that makes us different from your common or garden web design agency. We specialise in building web apps and helping entrepreneurs and start-ups turn their big ideas into something tangible and real, as rapidly and efficiently as possible.

Over the coming weeks, months and years, we'll use this blog to share the ideas and processes that underpin the way we work. We'll talk about the web, code, design and development, as well as agile, lean and everything in-between.
